Candle Care
The Love Amber Candle range is hand poured using 100% natural soy wax with pure cotton wicks. My candle fragrance oils are designed and developed in Australia and are vegan/cruelty-free and nontoxic.
My candles are hand crafted in our studio overlooking Victoria's beautiful Yarra Valley and are inspired by the Australian bush environment I am lucky to call home. I hope you enjoy my candles as much as I enjoy making them for you.
To get the most out of your Love Amber Candle, please follow these tips:
CANDLE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Never use water to extinguish a candle. (I suggest a wick snuffer or a dipper to dip the wick into the wax to completely distinguish the flame (My candle care kits will be available soon)
Ensure wicks are upright and trimmed to 7mm (1/4 inch) during use and each time candle is relit.
Do not burn my 400g candles for less than 2 hours or more than 4 hours at a time. Do not burn my 300g candles for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time. It is important to ensure my candles are able to reach an entire wax melt pool across the diameter of the jar when lit. This will enable a consistent reset of the wax and prevent tunnelling.
Your candle should never exceed a 4 hour burn time.
Stop burning when 10mm (1/2 inch) of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the jar.
Never move a burning candle. Ensure the candle is extinguished, wax is solid and jar is cool to touch before handling.
Glass jars may become hot. Please burn your candle on an appropriate flat heat-resistant surface.
Avoid using in draughty areas, near an open window, air duct or fan.
Please keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
Do not use a lid to extinguish your candle.
CANDLE CARE GUIDE
To get the best performance out of your candles:
Prevent soot from forming on the glass by keeping wicks properly placed and trimmed.
Never allow the candle flame to come in to contact with the side of the glass.
Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or broken.
If your candle has multiple wicks, they must all be lit every time the candle is used.
Never introduce liquids or foreign objects into the candle and keep it free of any flammable materials.
If the glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish the candle, allow to cool and clean with a dry paper towel.
When not in use, keep the candle covered to avoid dust build-up. Your candle dust cover is perfect for this purpose.
Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish the candle flame. If not available, blow gently and steadily on the flame until it is extinguished.
Container candle burn times will vary. Fragrance, colour, burning habits and environmental conditions affect the time a candle will last. Please do not burn your candle for more than four (4) hours at a time.
